Aug 20, 2007· Wouldn't it make more sense than having to pay to get rid of old tires? I always had very good luck with recapped tires and I know that 18 wheelers still use recaps on their trailers. I know they don't want to use them crushed in the road surfaces because of the steel belts in a lot of them, but I just don't understand why they don#39;t still do this.
